Constructed of blackened magnetic iron, consisting of a Cross Patte, with its arms joined through the quadrants by a laurel wreath, the obverse bearing a central raised monogram of Grand Duke Friedrich August, the six oclock bearing an institution date of 1914, the twelve oclock arm bearing a royal crown, the reverse with a central
