Duquette loved using coral and coral patterns in his work. He used real coral for jewellery and table centrepieces, and used faux coral made for him in Southeast Asia from dyed raffia in abundance. Coral patterned rugs and upholstery fabrics were used in many of his interior design projects around the world.
