Hosta ventricosa Flame Stitch Chrysogonum (aka: Aspidistra mushaensis BSWJ 1949)This 1991 introduction first caught our eyes and then our hearts. H. 'Flame Stitch' is the reverse variegation of H. ventricosa 'Aureomarginata'. The difficulty in propagation assures that this will never be a widespread cultivar, although we find that plenty of sun makes it grow much faster.
